Terms of Service
The short version
childKompass gives guidance, not treatment. You are the parent and every decision is yours. If something is urgent or clinical, call a professional — and the Wayfinder will tell you when we think that's the case.
1. The agreement
These terms are between you and ParenTech Inc., which operates childKompass. By creating an account, joining the waitlist or using the service, you accept them.
2. Who may use childKompass
Adults, aged 18 or over, who are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose information they enter. During the private beta, access is by invitation and we may open or close it at our discretion.
3. What childKompass is not
It is not medical, psychological, legal or educational advice, and using it does not create a clinician–patient relationship. It does not diagnose. It is not an emergency service. If your child is at risk of harm, contact your local emergency number or a licensed professional immediately.
4. Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself, tell us promptly if you think someone else has them, and make sure that anything you enter about another person — a co-parent, a caregiver, your child — is yours to share.
5. Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to operate the service for you — to store it, process it and show it back to you. We do not claim ownership, and we do not use it to train generalised models. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use childKompass to harm a child, to impersonate someone, to scrape or resell the service, or to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Beta software
The service is in private beta. Features will change, break and disappear. It is provided “as is”, without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Pricing
The private beta is free. If and when we introduce paid plans, you will be told the price before you are ever charged, and childKompass will be paid for by parents rather than advertisers.
9. Ending it
You can close your account at any time and take your data with you. We may end access if these terms are breached. Sections 3, 5, 7 and 10 survive.
