Terms of Service
Last updated: March 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of childKompass websites, applications, and related services (the “Service”) operated by childKompass (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service provides planning, guidance, and organizational tools for families, which may include optional integrations (such as Google account connection) and automated or AI-assisted features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a family or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at admin@childkompass.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or infringe others’ rights;
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach security measures;
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or deceptive content;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service except as allowed by law;
- Use the Service to build a competing product or train external models on our outputs without permission, except as required by applicable law;
- Interfere with other users’ access or overload our systems.
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or creates risk.
4. Your content
You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, use, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service—including processing with subprocessors and, where applicable, AI-assisted features you enable. You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license.
5. Third-party services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (for example, Google). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6. AI-assisted features
Outputs from automated or AI-assisted features are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not professional advice (medical, legal, educational, or otherwise). Use judgment and consult qualified professionals when appropriate.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED.
9. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, risk to the Service or users, or legal requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless otherwise required by your jurisdiction. Courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes, unless applicable law requires a different venue.
