Privacy Policy

The promise, in plain English

We do not run ads.

We do not sell, rent or broker your data — to anyone, at any price.

We do not train generalised models on your family's data.

You can delete everything, permanently, whenever you want.

Everything below is the same four sentences, written the way lawyers need them written.

1. Who we are

childKompass is operated by ParenTech Inc. (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use childKompass or join our waitlist, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. Questions go to team@childkompass.com.

2. What we collect

Account information — your email address, and the name and password you set.

Information about your child — the age, stage and details you choose to tell us, plus what you discuss with the Wayfinder. You decide what goes in. Nothing is required beyond an age.

Product usage — basic, aggregated information about which parts of the product are used, so we can fix what's broken. We do not build advertising profiles from it.

Waitlist submissions — your email, your child's stage, and anything you write in the optional free-text field.

3. How we use it

To give you guidance calibrated to your child, to keep your account secure, to improve the product, and to email you about childKompass itself. That is the complete list. We do not use your family's information to sell you things, and we do not let anyone pay to influence what the Wayfinder tells you.

4. Model training

Your family's data is used to serve your family. We do not use it to train generalised models, and we do not send it to third parties to train theirs. Where a third-party model provider processes a conversation in order to answer it, that processing is contractually limited to serving your request, with no retention for training.

5. Who can see it

You. A small number of our staff, only when you ask for support or when we are legally required to look. And infrastructure providers (hosting, email, error monitoring) who process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes. No advertisers, no data brokers, no “partners”.

6. Children

childKompass is for parents and guardians. Accounts are held by adults, and children do not log in. Information about a child is entered by their parent and controlled by their parent.

7. Your controls

Export a copy of everything, correct anything that's wrong, or delete a child's record or your whole account. Deletion is permanent and removes the record from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. Ask at team@childkompass.com and we will not attempt to talk you out of it.

8. Retention and security

We keep your information for as long as your account is open, and delete it when you close it. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access by our staff is logged.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. The four promises at the top are not the kind of thing we intend to change; if they ever did, you would hear it from us first and directly.

Our mobile apps

childKompass is coming soon to iOS & Android.

Leave your email and we'll notify you when the apps are ready.

Thank you — we have your email. You'll hear from us once, when the apps go live.

We couldn't save that. You can also email team@childkompass.com.

childKompass is in invite-only beta. The app will also have a waitlist to start using the platform.
